Praise to the Pedicure

Much like “Cinco de Mayo” I was also introduced to “Pedicures” while living in southern California. I can tell when I am missing CA a lot because I talk about it a LOT. They are only $15 bucks there, amazing. However, I have found a wonderful place in Bountiful, Spa Nails. Very clean, very friendly and $22. Not too much of a mark up. Everywhere else around here seems to be $30 for a pedi.

Is there anything that can make your feet happier? I submit that there is not.

I got one today and my hot pink toes and soft heels are SO very happy. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Treat yourself today. Or tomorrow. Or very soon. You deserve it.

The image “http://www.sosuarentals.com/pedicure.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.
PS. this is not my foot. My blog won’t let me post pictures…anyone know why? help!

Cinco De Mayo

When I was living in southern California, Cinco De Mayo was a much bigger deal than it is in Kaysville Utah. Wonder why? Anyway, my roomies and I used to throw Cindo De Mayo parties with all the fixins. At our parties it was all about the drinks. Borrow blenders from the neighbors and make virgin margaritas (or regular if that’s your thang) and daiquirs. They are delicious and refreshing!

And who says you can’t celebrate May 5 in Kaysville?

Here’s a few fun ideas if you want to throw your own Cinco de Mayo party…

Decor and Recipes from Real Simple

You can buy pinatas at Zurchers for around $10. Hang streamers from the ceiling fans and turn them on. Brightly colored tissue paper makes great decor, you can buy a huge pack at Hobby Lobby for $4.99.

And Mexican food is delicious and cheap. Make gourmet quesadillas, salsa and fresh guacomole. Throw on some chips and make fun drinks and you’ve got yourself a party.

Posh Peacock

Sorry for the lack of postings. This weekend was crazy. Thursday night we had card club. Friday I had a wedding and Saturday I was in charge of a ward fundraiser for girls camp. (pictures will come later!)

For now, I’ll show you these little cuties posted by Design Mom. Invites, magnets, bookmarks and more from Posh Petals. So many fun and pretty things to look at!

Little Pretty Studio

This is by far the cutest thing ever done with an embroidery hoop. Little round bulletin boards that would dress up any room. Love the material choices too. Might be a fun craft to make and would be a great gift to receive.
