The MacBeth Collection

These items are oh so fun from The MacBeth Collection.

All sorts of items that are covered or painted in some sort of material…I can’t quite tell. She has done a really good job of finding darling patterns and putting them on wonderful items. I am guessing you could do your own with a little scrapbook paper and modge podge. Not to discount her lovely creations.

The best part about her website, is she has an entire list of things to put into gift baskets! 101 iteas to be exact!

The List!

Here are a few of my favorites…

Reusable Shopping Bags

I mentioned the other day that I’ve been looking for reusable shopping bags…here are a few more that are wonderful.

Here are a few I really like.

These ones from Neela are really cute.

Envirosax from the Paper Studio

And Design Mom must be on the same page because she posted some wonderful options the other day.

This is straight from her blog…

Next, meet Flip & Tumble. Featuring another smart site with a little video that shows you how fast it is to collapse these bags — easy as balling a pair of socks.

Flip & Tumble bags are so small that it’s a cinch to keep one with you all the time. And in a pinch, the ball will double as entertainment for your toddler.

Dean and Deluca

I am loving this concept of ’snacks on the run’ from Dean and Deluca. Such a cute gift idea. I know I would love little tins filled with sweet goodness.

You can buy them from D&D or I think you could make them up yourself. I sure like the way they all look stacked on top of eachother in this picture!

Joel Serrato Films

It’s official. I’m in love…with Super 8 Film.

I don’t normally blog about wedding finds but this is completely worth blogging about. Joel Serrato is a wedding cinematographer (sp?) (originally posted on http://melissasmitten.blogspot.com/) and is A-MAZING.

I have never seen a videographer capture so much real emotion of a wedding. He takes all the footage with vintage cameras using Super 8 film. It is really incredible. I so wish I would have known about his before I got married! I am loving the old style and quick blips. By far the most entertaining wedding videos ever.

If you have 10 minutes, you must watch his films. (Film 1 is my very fav if you only have 3 minutes!)

Berry Salad

If you need a great salad in a pinch, this is the one. And the most amazing part is, I got the recipe from a boy! Shane Larsen brought this to a party and I’ve made it twice since and it’s been a hit both times!

It is so fast, no fuss and delicious and is wonderful for summer!

Ingredients:
Spinach
Coleslaw
(don’t buy the mix with carrots and purple cabbage) You can get it cut or cut up your own. I look for a really white one because I think it looks prettier. The longer and skinnier the cabbage is cut, the prettier it is.
Strawberries
Blueberries
Blackberries
Raspberries
Briannas Dressing

You can do all of the berries, or just a few. Strawberries are the ones you have to cut, so if you don’t have time to chop, just buy the others.

Mix the dressing in right before you serve. Shane served it with Briannas Poppy Peach dressing. It is delicious. The second time I made it I served it with the Briannas Strawberry Vinagarette and it was ALSO delicious. Just depends on if you are a in a creamy or vinagarette mood!
