Where the Wild ings Are

My sister-in-law Elise and I did the t-shirt painting project I posted about a few days ago. It was a lot of fun! And super cheap summer tee’s.

The hardest part is cutting out the images. The simpler the better. Ironing on everything and painting it was a breeze. Here’s the link to the tutorial from Tangles and True. 

We got our t-shirts at Hobby Lobby for $1.50 (they are half off right now). Fabric paint was $1.00 for a small bottle, which covered 2 shirts, maybe 3. Freezer paper was $5, but it’s a very large roll. I recommend doing this with a friend and sharing the paints. Each shirt ended up being just over $2. You can’t beat that anywhere! Especially because Cohen has never kept a shirt clean in his life!

They didn’t turn out as good as hers, but they are pretty fun. 

Homemade macaroons have been floating around the web forever and weddings even longer. And I have always wanted to try them but have been too scared. I’m not much of a baker! Givers Log has a very detailed tutorial and shares her mistakes and what she did different. They don’t seem as intimidating anymore. I might just give them a shot!  Found on Kirtsy.

I LOVE this idea for little kids tee’s from Tangled and True. When I was a kid, we used to paint shirts, but it was with sponges and puff paint! I never would have thought of this and now this project is the first on my list for summer tee’s. She gives step-by-step instructions and even the fonts.
